Mumbai doctor commits suicide by overdosing on anaesthesia

A 31-year-old female anaesthetic doctor with Tata Hospital committed suicide by injecting herself with overdose of anaesthesia in Mumbai. The police did not find any suicide letter.

Bhoiwada police have registered ADR (accident death report) in the matter. The police said that the female doctor was under depression.

Dr Rupali Kalkundre, 31, was a resident doctor with Tata Memorial Hospital in Parel. She was found unconscious in her room on Saturday afternoon.

Despite best efforts she could not be revived.

The case was handed over to concerned police station and a case of suicide was registered. For the past few years, she was under treatment for depression.
